About Kathryn
Kathryn was born in California and raised in Washington State. She is 15 years of age and in the 10th grade. She began figure skating in October of 2007, but quit in the summer of 2009 to pursue other interests. She had made it to a Gamma level in singles skating.
Figure skating has captivated Kathryn since the tender age of 5, when her grandmother would record old Stars on Ice tapes for her to sit in front of the television and watch in amazement. Ever since her youth, figure skating has held a very sacred place in her heart. Growing up around figure skating all her life, she took the punches from guys who said her sport was "gay" or "girly".
Kathryn hopes to study Psychology and perhaps become a therapist. However, if that plan doesn't exactly fit, she may major in Journalism and become a professional article writer/blogger. Wherever her life takes her, she will take every chance she can to prove somebody wrong: that figure skating is not just a girly sport.
Fun Fact: Her favorite figure skaters are Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov.
